SA516Gr70 (HIC) Introduction:
 
Since the 90s of last century, based on 20R, 16MnR and SA516Gr70, Wugang has jointly developed 16MnR (HIC) steel plate with Sinopec related design institutes in 1998 and made SA516Gr70 (HIC) combined with market demand in 2000.
 
SA516Gr70 (HIC) quality performance:
1, steel P, low S content, high purity, good performance of anti corrosion of wet hydrogen sulfide;
2, the toughness is good at low temperature, and the steel plate above 100mm can protect the thickness of the plate at 1/2, and the impact is -30 C.
3, Wugang is the largest manufacturer of anti HIC steel, which has the thickest specification of 176mm, and can ensure Z35 performance in the direction of thickness.
4, anti hydrogen induced crack (HIC) performance test, anti hydrogen induced cracking (HIC) test method NACE TM0284 or GB8650 standard, three samples mean value: CLR = 10%, CSR = 3%, CTR = 1%;
CLR: crack length percentage, CSR: crack sensitivity percentage, CTR: crack thickness percentage;

The scope of application of SA516Gr70 (HIC):
The technical conditions are suitable for use in the acidic environment of the thickness is less than 165mm SA516Gr60 (HIC), SA516Gr60 (R-HIC), SA516Gr65 (HIC), SA516Gr65 (R-HIC) and SA516Gr70 (HIC), SA516Gr70 (R-HIC) inspection and acceptance of steel plate. SA516Gr60 (HIC) grade description:
SA516Gr60 (HIC) - I refers to the steel grade SA516Gr60, and the corrosion test is only hydrogen induced cracking test (HIC).

(1) the implementation of NACETM0284 standard, using A solution, the three sample average: CLR = 10%; CSR = 3%; CTR = 1%. (3) the implementation of GB8650 standard, using A solution, the three sample average: CLR = 10%; CSR = 3%; CTR = 1.5%. Among them, PH: medium pH value; CLR: crack length percentage; CSR: crack sensitive percentage; CTR: crack thickness percentage; B.HIC test acceptance rule; HIC test shall be checked in batches, and each batch is made of steel plate with the same furnace number, the same thickness and the same heat treatment system. When the thickness is not greater than 30mm, a group of specimens is taken. The size of the sample is *20mm*100mm. When the thickness is greater than 30mm, a set of samples is taken from the thickness 1/2, and the sample size is 20mm*20mm*100mm.
Test rules for SA516Gr70 (HIC) steel plate resistance to sulfide stress corrosion test:
A. resistance to sulfide stress corrosion (SSCC) test method,
The B. test method selected one of them (1) to execute the GB4157 standard.
