Classification of blasting discs:
Plate type bursting disc: the plate type bursting disc is made of plastic metal or graphite. The former causes tensile failure due to convex shape of the wall after being loaded, while the latter causes shear or bending failure. It is seldom used in situations where pressure is not high and pressure is stable.
Ordinary normal arch blasting disc: Ordinary normal arch blasting disc is made of a single layer of plastic metal material, concave side-to-side medium, and the blasting disc is damaged by tension after the container is overloaded. It is suitable for static load medium pressure or high pressure vessels.
Slotted arched blasting disc: The slotted arched blasting disc is composed of two ordinary arched blasting discs with the same curvature, and the concave surface is inverted to the medium. One piece in contact with the medium is made of metal or non-metal materials that are resistant to medium corrosion, without slotting, the other piece is made of metal materials, the arch part is provided with several through slots, which are distributed radially, and both ends are small holes. The bursting pressure of the bursting disc can be adjusted by changing the density of the slots. This kind of blasting disc is suitable for vessels with medium and high pressure static load and corrosive medium.
Reverse domed bursting disc: the reverse domed bursting disc is made of a single layer of plastic metal material, with the convex side facing the medium, causing instability and damage after being loaded. After instability and turnover, the tool installed on the original concave surface is cut or the whole piece falls off and ejects. Because the unstable blasting pressure is not sensitive to fatigue, it is suitable for pressure vessels under fluctuating load.
