The common filtering principles are inertia, diffusion and static [1 ~ 3].
(1) inertia refers to the inertia movement of large particle dust with the high speed flow of natural gas, and has a certain momentum. When the airflow detours the obstacle, the dust is blocked from the direction of air flow and hit the obstacle because of inertia. The larger the dust particle size and the greater the inertial force, the greater the possibility of impacting obstacles, and the better the filtration effect (see Figures 1 and 2).
(2) the effect of diffusion is that small particle dust is used as an irregular Brown movement. The smaller the dust, the stronger the irregular movement, the more opportunities to impact the obstacles, the better the filtering effect.
The electrostatic effect means that the filter material has electrostatic or dust with static electricity, and the filtering effect can be obviously improved. There are two main reasons: one is that the electrostatic force makes the dust change its trajectory and collide with obstacles; the other is that the electrostatic force makes the dust stick more firmly on the medium. The smaller particle dust in the gas is mainly Brown movement. The smaller the particle, the higher the efficiency of the filter; the larger the particle dust is, the larger the particle, the higher the efficiency of the filter. The part of dust that has no obvious diffusion and inertia is the most difficult to filter, and the lowest efficiency is the most representative for filter performance.
