I. HNBR Oil-resistant O-ring
1. Physical and chemical properties
Hydrogenated butadiene-acrylic rubber is obtained by selective hydrogenation of butadiene group in butadiene-acrylic rubber. The properties of hydrogenated NBR depend on the content of CAN (18% - 50%) and carbon bond saturation. Its main characteristics are: good heat resistance, organic peroxide vulcanizates can be used continuously for more than 1000 hours at 160 ~C in air, while NBR loses its continuous use value at 150 ~C; excellent oil resistance, fuel resistance and alcohol-based fuel performance are much better than corresponding NBR and NBR/PVC blends; better low temperature resistance than NBR; better ozone aging resistance and resistance to various media (hot water, hot water, alcohol-based fuel); better temperature resistance than NBR. The properties of acid, alkali and alcohol are outstanding. The mechanical properties of NBR are also better than that of NBR. It has better corrosion resistance, tensile resistance, tear resistance and compressive deformation.
2. Temperature range
General grade: - 40 - 150 (- TR10 - 22 - 24 (?)
Low temperature resistance: - 55 ~ 150 (- TR10 - 35 ~ 37 (?)
3. Hardness Range
Shaw's A50 to 90 degrees

SELECTION OF OIL-RESISTANT O-RING
Most customers will be exposed to oil in the use environment, so when purchasing O-rings, they will ask about the material they purchased is oil-resistant, but some use environments are soaking O-rings in oil, some only have contact with oil, so different materials should be selected for different use environments of oil-resistant O-rings. The following is the recommendation of Taiwan Xumeike Seal for different use environments. Material combination, I hope it will be helpful for you to choose O-ring.
HNBR oil-resistant O-ring is widely used in automotive industry. Its quality not only affects the sealing performance and service life of automobiles, but also affects the safety of automobiles. Due to the different use conditions, the rubber materials used to manufacture oil-resistant O-rings are different. At present, the commonly used rubber materials in our country are NBR, hydrogenated NBR, fluorine rubber, silicone rubber and EPDM rubber. The O-ring of automobile requires long service life, no oil leakage when driving 150,000 kilometers, and realizes the goal of maintenance-free of all rubber parts. Therefore, the requirements of oil-resistant O-ring materials are usually as follows:
1. Resistance to various media, including engine oil, gear oil, lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, fuel oil, double-sided gear oil, dust, mud, water, acid, alkali, salt, etc.
2. Temperature resistance is usually - 30-150 degrees, some even up to 300 degrees, good wear resistance, small deformation, good resilience, aging resistance, high tensile length, no damage to the sealing surface (corrosion), good processing performance of rubber, easy flow, long burning time of Menny, fast vulcanization speed, and good adhesion with skeleton materials (metal).
