Inconel 600 alloy has the following characteristics:
1 has a good reduction, oxidation, nitriding medium corrosion performance
2 at room temperature and high temperature have a good resistance to stress corrosion cracking performance
3 has a good resistance to dry chlorine gas and hydrogen chloride gas corrosion performance
4 have good mechanical properties at zero, room temperature and high temperature.
5 has a very good resistance to creep rupture strength, recommended for use in the work environment above 700.

Corrosion resistance of Inconel 600:
600 alloy for all kinds of corrosive media have corrosion resistance. The content of chromium in the oxidation of the alloy under the conditions of 99.2 (alloy 200) and nickel 99.2 (alloy 201, low carbon) with better corrosion resistance. At the same time, the high nickel content of the alloy in reducing conditions and alkaline solution has good corrosion resistance, and can effectively prevent the chloride iron stress corrosion cracking. 600 alloy has good corrosion resistance in acetic acid, acetic acid, formic acid, stearic acid and other organic acids, with medium corrosion resistance in inorganic acid. Excellent corrosion resistance of high purity water used in the first and two cycles of a nuclear reactor. 600 especially outstanding performance is able to resist dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride corrosion, the application temperature of 650. At high temperature, the annealed and solid solution treated alloys have good oxidation and spalling resistance and high strength in air. The alloy is also resistant to ammonia and nitriding, carburizing atmosphere, but in the change of redox conditions, the alloy will be part of the oxidation of the corrosion of the media (such as green death)
