This alloy has the following characteristics:
1 excellent oxidation resistance at high temperature
2 very good resistance to carbonation
3 can be a very good antioxidant sulfur atmosphere
4 have good mechanical properties at room temperature and high temperature.
5 good resistance to stress corrosion cracking performance due to the control of the carbon content and grain size, 601 has a high creep rupture strength, so in the field of 500 degrees Celsius above recommended the use of 601.

Corrosion resistance of Inconel 601:
601 one of the important properties of the alloy is the ability to have antioxidant properties at temperatures as high as 1180. Even in very harsh conditions, such as heating and cooling cycles, 601 can produce a layer of dense oxide film and get a high level of resistance. 601 has a good resistance to carbonation. Due to the high chromium and aluminum content, 601 in the high temperature sulfur atmosphere with good oxidation resistance.
