Introduction of SA387Gr11CL2
SA387Gr11CL2 is a Cr-Mo heat-resistant steel. In SA387Gr11cl2, SA387 is a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel plate for pressure vessels. Among them, S is ASME code, A is steel material (if B is non-ferrous metal), 387 is technical condition serial number, and Gr11 is grade 11. According to ASME II-2007, SA387 has 10 grades of 2, 11, 12, 22, 22L, 21, 21L, 5, 9 and 91. The chemical composition and mechanical properties of materials are different with different grades.

Use of SA387Gr11CL2
SA387Gr11CL2 is a U.S. standard chromium-molybdenum alloy steel plate and a U.S. standard container plate. It can prevent hydrogen embrittlement, hydrogen corrosion, hydrogen stripping and sulfide corrosion at medium temperature (480) in hydrogen environment. It also has good low temper embrittlement and is widely used in the manufacture of fertilizer, petrochemical industry and thermal power plant equipment. Manufacture, such as synthetic ammonia reactor, coal gasifier, converter and hydrogenation reactor. SA387Gr11CL2 material is suitable for refining and gas treatment in hydrogenation reaction and conversion equipment at high temperature. The maximum thickness of steel plate can reach 250mm. According to the different thickness and impact requirements, the heat treatment of SA387Gr11CL2 steel plate should be normalized and tempered or normalized to accelerate cooling and tempering.
