2hgr50 purpose:
It is used to make hull, offshore oil production platform, platform pipe joint and other structural parts.
2hgr50 executive standard: CCS / DNV / ABS / GL / LR / bv / Rina / NK / kr;
API Spec 2H-2006 is the standard of American Petroleum Association, carbon manganese steel plate for marine structure.
Level: 42, 50.
2hgr50 tensile properties (transverse specimen):

Grade 50 yield strength Ksi (MPA) minimum 50 (345) tensile strength Ksi (MPA) 70-90 (483-620)
Grade 42 elongation thickness 50mm-200mm: min.,% 22-18
Grade 50 elongation thickness 50mm-200mm: min.,% 21-16
2hgr50 identification: level 42 shall be identified as API 2h-42, and level 50 shall be identified as API 2h-50
The suffix g, normalized suffix N and quenched tempered suffix QT shall be printed on the steel plate for heat treatment. Boron, vanadium, zirconium, cerium and other rare earth metals shall not be added without the consent of the demander. If any of the above elements are added to the steel plate, print C after h in the identification. For the steel plate accepted according to Z thickness direction test procedure, Z shall be printed after the brand number.
Low sulfur steel with improved thickness direction properties:
Provide steel plate with low-grade sulfide inclusion by chemical control method, so as to reduce the possibility of lamellar tearing of steel plate in the connection weld area. The maximum sulfur content shall be 0.006% brand suffix XLS, X refers to g, N, QT.
