Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) corrosion test is mainly based on the standard of NACE, TM-0284 NACE-0177 and GD/T8650. Test solution is divided into A, B, C three kinds of solution. A solution in a certain amount of distilled water or deionized water with dissolved 5.0wt% sodium chloride (NaCl) acetic acid and 0.5wt% (CH3COOH), B solution by dissolving sodium acetate in distilled water or deionized water 5.0wt%, sodium chloride, 2.5wt% acetic acid and 0.41wt%, C by sodium acetate solution dissolved in distilled water deionized water or 0.4g/L (5Mm and CH3COONa) and the service conditions of the same concentration of chloride (sodium chloride). The test solution C tends to be used for martensitic stainless steel.

The cracking forms include: sulfide stress cracking (SSC) / stress corrosion cracking (SCC), hydrogen stress cracking, hydrogen induced cracking (HSC) (HIC), (SWC), soft ladder crack zone cracking (SZC), stress oriented hydrogen induced cracking (SOHIC).
