Shell and tube heat exchanger
1): fixed tube heat exchanger has the advantages of simple structure, compact structure, low cost, but not mechanical cleaning tube. The heat exchanger tube bundle is connected with the tube plate, and the tube plate is respectively welded at both ends of the shell, and the top cover is connected with the upper cover and the shell body is provided with a fluid inlet and outlet nozzle. A series of baffles, which are generally perpendicular to the tube bundle, are usually arranged outside the tube. At the same time, the connection between the pipe and the tube plate and the shell is rigid, and the inner tube of the tube is two kinds of fluid with different temperature.  
2) floating head heat exchanger: a tube plate is connected with the flange and shell, another piece of tube plate is not connected to the housing, so that the pipe is heated or cooled when the free expansion, but connected with a cover in the tube plate, called "floating", so that the heat exchanger is called floating head type heat exchanger. Its advantages are: the tube can be pulled out, so that cleaning; bundle expansion shell invariant constraints, so when the two heat exchanger medium temperature, not due to the thermal expansion of tube bundle and shell have different temperature stress. The disadvantages are complex structure and high cost.   
3) the stuffing box type heat exchanger: this type of heat exchanger is free to expand, simple structure than the float, the cost is low than the floating head. 4) U type tube heat exchanger: each tube is bent into U shape, both ends fixed on the same piece of tube plate, each tube can freely retractable, thus solving the problem of thermal compensation.
