2020全球化工品牌25强,中国仅一家企业上榜!
Recently, brand finance, a famous British brand evaluation agency, released the top 25 most valuable chemical brands in the world in 2020, with BASF in Germany, Dow in the United States and Saudi Arabia's basic industries ranking the top three. China's Rongsheng Petrochemical ranked 18th.
This year, brand finance expanded the ranking from the top 10 to the top 25 for the first time. Although BASF's brand valuation dropped to $7.9 billion due to the general slowdown in the economic growth of the chemical industry, it is still more than $3 billion higher than Dow's ranking in the second place, defending its title of the most valuable brand in the world's chemical industry and easily ranking first.

According to brand finance, BASF's top position is due to two reasons: on the one hand, it is due to the re closer relationship with customers, increased competitiveness and profit growth; on the other hand, due to the weakening of competitors, Dow and DuPont split up after restructuring last year.
The merger of Dow and DuPont resulted in the value of the two brands falling 29% to $4.8 billion and 33% to $2.2 billion, respectively, making them the fastest declining brands in 2020.
Saudi Arabia's petrochemical giant SABIC (worth $4.3 billion) still ranks third, with its brand value growing by 9% to become the fastest growing brand among the top 10. In the past year, SABIC has been a bright star in the chemical industry. It has invested heavily in its business area, taking corporate social responsibility as the core of its brand and paving the way for sustainable innovation.
Linde ranks top of the top 25, ranking fifth with a brand value of 2.9 billion US dollars. The rise of the brand can be attributed to Linde's decision to continue to maintain Linde after the merger with Praxair, the US Air giant, which allows the brand to expand into new areas because it was previously unknown in the US. Linde has also expanded its business in Shanghai and established a new air separation plant to provide nitrogen, oxygen and argon, thus increasing its brand awareness in Asia.

This year, for the first time, Chinese chemical enterprises have entered the list of the most valuable chemical brands in the world. Rongsheng Petrochemical ranks 18th with a brand value of US $1.4 billion. Rongsheng's solid performance is due to the increase of China's investment in the chemical industry, and it may further strengthen with the increase of crude oil import in the region in the next few years.
The top 25 brands on the list are worth 56.2 billion US dollars. Among them, there are six brands in the United States, four in Germany and Japan, three in Holland, two in Britain, and one in Saudi Arabia, South Korea, France, Canada, China and Thailand.
