Smelting refractory steel is usually melted in electric arc furnace or induction furnace. High quality requirements often use vacuum refining and furnace refining process.

Most of the austenitic oxidation resistant steels are treated by high temperature solid solution heat treatment to obtain good cold deformation. Austenitic heat resistant steel is first treated with high temperature solid solution, and then at higher than the temperature of 60 to 100 DEG C under the conditions of aging treatment, so that the stability of the organization, while the second phase precipitation, in order to strengthen the matrix. The heat resistant cast steel is used in the casting state, and the corresponding heat treatment is adopted according to the type of the heat resistant steel.
