美国一石化设施发生大火!2天烧着7个储罐,仍未扑灭
A fire at a petrochemical storage facility near the Houston Shipping Channel in Texas on Sunday (17) has spread to seven storage tanks, and companies are trying to prevent explosions.

A fire broke out at the Deeppark oil depot of Intercontinental Terminals Co. (ITC), an American petrochemical storage company. According to the company's latest news, seven tanks are on fire. The risk of explosion caused by fire is very small, and no casualties have been caused for the time being.
In a statement earlier Monday (18), the company said: “ emergency rescue workers continue to focus on the use of foam to control fires and are working to prevent the spread of fires. & Although the risk of explosion is very small, we will continue to take preventive measures to further reduce this possibility. ”
It is reported that the ignited tanks are respectively filled with naphtha, xylene, toluene, fuel oil and other chemical products.
ITC reported to Texas regulators Monday that naphtha tanks were first ignited by leaks from pipes and flames spread to nearby tanks. Its report does not say what caused the leak.

Harris County Fire Department Office held a news conference on the 18th, warning that the fire may continue for two days.
It is reported that firefighters are putting out all-out fires, reducing the number of fires from seven to six.
Dave Wascome, an ITC executive at the incident company, said in a statement the same day that the company was monitoring air quality in the incident area. At present, particulate matter has been detected in the air of the accident site, and a single volatile organic compound has been detected about 6 miles southwest of the accident site. These data are below the level that endangers human health.
In addition, the Harris County Public Health Bureau issued a statement on the same day, asking local residents to pay attention to abnormal physical reactions, inhaling naphtha, xylene and other chemicals will appear cough, dyspnea, eye, nose and throat discomfort, dizziness, nausea and other symptoms.
On the 18th, Dilpak School District announced that all schools were closed. The Laporte School District also temporarily cancelled the day's courses. Many residents near the oil depot said they tried to stay indoors to avoid inhaling chemicals.

According to Prussian Energy Information, ITC Dilpark has 242 tanks with a capacity of 13.1 million barrels. It stores all kinds of petrochemical liquids and gases, as well as fuel oil, fuel oil and distillate oil. The wharf has five docks and 10 barge wharfs, railway and truck channels, and multiple pipeline connections.
Authorities say the fire did not disrupt nearby refineries and the country's busiest petrochemical port. Houston's shipping lanes are dominated by nine U.S. refineries, which handle 2.3 million barrels of oil a day, accounting for 12% of the country's total production.
The ITC fire was one of two fires east of Houston last weekend. According to a document submitted by the Texas Environmental Quality Commission, a gasoline-based hydrofining unit at ExxonMobil Baytown Refinery caught fire last Saturday. The fire was under control and no one was injured.
