Qilu Petrochemical Company is the most famous large-scale petrochemical enterprise in Shandong Province. Here, there is a legendary figure named Liu Aihua. The sulfur recovery technology developed by her has overcome the world's difficult problems at one stroke, so that the sulfur dioxide emission reduction rate of Qilu Petrochemical Company reaches 90%, and the sulfur dioxide emission concentration of flue gas is less than 100 mg/cubic meters, which is far below the emission standard of 500 mg/cubic meters in developed countries in Europe and the United States.

Liu Aihua, vice president of Qilu Petrochemical Research Institute, introduced: & ldquo; The technology we have made is actually an environmental protection technology. We need to convert sulfur compounds in gases into elemental sulfur, that is, sulfur, and then recycle it. On the other hand, when sulfur is recovered, the environmental quality of the atmosphere will be improved very well. ”
The sulfur recovery technology developed by Liu Aihua has been successfully popularized in similar plants throughout the country, reducing sulfur dioxide by thousands of tons every year. Since then, Sinopec has stepped into “ green channel ”.

Liu Aihua said: & ldquo; The next goal is to lower the standard (move forward). Shandong Province has issued a standard for sulfur dioxide emissions to reach 50 mg/m3 by 2020. The laboratory work is almost done. The next step is to prepare industrial application experiments. ”
