Dai Houliang resigned as president of Sinopec
The board of directors of China Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (referred to as & ldquo; Sinopec & rdquo; or & ldquo; our company & rdquo;) received Mr. Dai Houliang's resignation report on October 30, 2018. Mr. Dai Houliang resigned as president of Sinopec due to job adjustment, and still served as chairman of the company, chairman of the strategic committee of the board of directors, chairman of the nominating committee and chairman of the social responsibility management committee.
Mr. Ma Yongsheng was appointed president of the company.
In accordance with the Articles of Association, the board of directors of the company appointed Mr. Ma Yongsheng as president of Sinopec (resume attached), from the date of approval of the board of directors to May 2021. All the independent non-executive directors of the company have expressed their independent opinions on the above appointment. Accordingly, Mr. Dai Houliang will be changed from an executive director to a non-executive director, and the authorized representative of the counterpart Hong Kong Stock Exchange Limited will also be changed from Mr. Dai Houliang to Mr. Ma Yongsheng.
Mr. Lei Dian Wu and Mr. Chen Ji are senior vice presidents of the company.
In accordance with the Articles of Association and the nomination of the President, the board of directors of the company appointed Mr. Lei Dianwu and Mr. Chen Ge as senior vice-presidents of Sinopec (attached resume) from the date of approval of the board of directors to May 2021. All the independent non-executive directors of the company have expressed their independent opinions on the above appointment.

Ma Yongsheng, 57 years old. Mr. Ma is a professorship senior engineer and a graduate student from the Chinese Academy of engineering. Since April 2002, he has been the general geologist of Sinopec Southern Exploration and Development Branch; since April 2006, he has been the executive vice manager (chairman) and general geologist of Sinopec Southern Exploration and Development Branch; from January 2007, he has been the manager and Secretary of the Party Committee of Sinopec Southern Exploration and Development Branch; and from March 2007, he has been the exploration branch of Sinopec. Company Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Vice-Commander of Sinopec Sichuan Gas Eastern Delivery Construction Project Command, Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Sinopec Exploration Branch since May 2007; Vice-Director of Sinopec Oilfield Exploration and Development Business Department (full-time treatment), Vice-Commander of Sichuan Gas Eastern Delivery Construction Project Command from May 2008; He was appointed vice-president of Sinopec in July, 2013, general geologist of Sinopec in August, vice-president and senior vice-president of Sinopec in December, 2015, director of Sinopec in February, 2016, and member of the Party Group of Sinopec in January, 2017. Mr. Ma is the thirteenth CPPCC National Committee member.
Lei Wu Wu, 56 years old. Mr. Lei is a senior engineer at the professorship and a university culture. He became deputy manager of Yangtze Petrochemical Company in October 1995, director of planning and Development Department of China East Union Petrochemical Company in December 1997, deputy manager of Yangtze Petrochemical Company in May 1998, deputy general manager of Yangtze Petrochemical Company in August 1998, and official of China Petrochemical Group in March 1999. Deputy Director of Development Planning Department of the Division (appointed); Vice Director of Sinopec Development Planning Department since February 2000; Director of Sinopec Development Planning Department since March 2001; Assistant General Manager of China Petrochemical Group Company from March 2009; Vice President of Sinopec from May 2009; Vice President of Sinopec from August 2013 Chief Economist; Secretary of the Board of Directors of China Petrochemical Corporation from October 2015; Director of Sinopec International Cooperation Department from June 2018.
Chen Ge, 56 years old, Mr. Chen is a senior economist and graduate student. He became deputy director of the secretarial bureau of Sinopec's board of directors from February 2000, director of the secretarial bureau of Sinopec's board of directors from December 2001, Secretary of Sinopec's board of directors from April 2003, director of the reform management department of Sinopec's enterprises from April 2005 to August 2013, and assistant general manager of Sinopec Corporation from July 2010. Li; from December 2013 to December 2015, he was appointed Deputy Secretary-General of the People's Government of Guizhou Province and member of the Party Group of the General Office; from November 2015, he was appointed Director of the Staff and Workers of China Petrochemical Group Corporation; and from December 2017, he also served as Director of the Reform Management Department of Sinopec Enterprises.
