Linglong Tire: Creating High Quality Development Code
In just a few decades, China's tire industry has been catching up with the developed countries in the West for more than 100 years, and has become the largest tire producer and consumer in the world. Especially in the 40 years since the reform and opening up, China's tire industry has undergone tremendous changes. Among them, the development of Shandong Linglong Tyre Co., Ltd., the leading enterprise of domestic tire industry, has created a typical case.
In 1975, Zhaoyuan Tire Repairing Factory was founded in several earth houses less than 300 square meters. The main business of the factory is to renovate and repair tyres. It is a typical handicraft workshop type enterprise. It also works to repair tyres. It has little technical content and its operation is very poor.
In 1987, Wang Xicheng, who was only 39 years old, was appointed the eighth director of Zhaoyuan Tire Manufacturing Works. Since then, under the leadership of Wang Xicheng, Linglong tires have embarked on a windy and magnificent road.
Starting a business has always been hard, and success has never been easy. In the early stage of Linglong tire development, enterprises did not even have decent factories. Wang Xicheng raised money to build new factories while leading Party members and cadres to set up six temporary workshops in the production area in their spare time, while construction and trial production. Every day and night, the big guys worked hard. In that year, the tire factory produced 92,000 sets of tires, completed the output value of 6.5 million yuan, realized the profit of 450,000 yuan, fought a beautiful turn-over battle, decadent enterprises also magically rose to life, and since then embarked on the golden age of sustained and rapid development.
In terms of development strategy, Wang Xicheng reviewed the current situation and put forward the second pioneering development strategy of “ from roadside to road; from upstream to upstream in the road; from renovating and repairing agricultural tractor tyres to producing tyres, realizing the first large-scale leap from tyre repair to slanting tyre production.
By 2000, Linglong tires had achieved output value of 1.25 billion yuan and profits and taxes of more than 60 million yuan, forming five series of more than 200 specifications, becoming one of the largest diagonal tire manufacturers in China, and its comprehensive economic strength has entered the top 10 in the domestic tire industry. In 2001, the company completed the transformation of joint-stock enterprises; on September 26, 2001, Linglong Tyre Industrial Park officially laid the foundation; in October 2002, the first all-steel radial tire was successfully launched. This not only created the transition of Chinese tire industry from diagonal tire to radial tire-ldquo; exquisite speed-rdquo; but also realized the second great leap from single diagonal tire production to radial tire structure adjustment.
It was in 2001 that Wang Feng, a 29-year-old Linglong young commander, became the general manager of the company. With the help of the construction of Linglong tire industrial park, we have synchronously implemented & ldquo; five major project clusters & rdquo; and & ldquo; four strategic boosts & rdquo; from a single tire industry to an industrial cluster, and the advantage integration has become the most potential tire manufacturing base in China, thus achieving the third great leap in the history of exquisite development. By 2008, in just seven years, Linglong tires had achieved a new leap in sales revenue from 1 billion yuan to 10 billion yuan, ranking strongly among the top 20 tires in the world.
In 2011, Linglong Tyre opened a new stage of international strategy development. Through the implementation of the strategy of "going out" & ldquo; 3 + 3 & rdquo; subsidiaries were set up in Beijing, Liuzhou, Shandong, Dezhou and Thailand, and test and test centers were set up in Europe. In 2015, Linglong tires achieved overseas revenue of more than US$1 billion, and achieved the fourth great span of international development by going out.
Innovation is also a trump card of Linglong tire since its establishment, and it has become a beautiful business card of enterprises. Up to now, Linglong Tire has presided over the formulation of 10 national standards; participated in the formulation of 81 national standards, industry standards and group standards; participated in the formulation of 5 international standards; won more than 500 patents at home and abroad; undertook more than 10 national innovation projects; won two national science and technology awards, the second prize of National Science and technology progress and the second prize of national technology invention.
On July 6, 2016, Linglong tire was officially listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, marking that Linglong tire entered a brand + capital new stage of development. Through increasing R&D investment and brand building, the company has developed into a specialized and large-scale technology-oriented enterprise. Its main products include all-steel radial tire, semi-steel radial tire and skew tire, which are widely used in passenger cars, commercial vehicles, passenger cars and construction machinery vehicles. The company has grown into a well-known domestic tire enterprise with assets of over 20 billion yuan, annual income of nearly 14 billion yuan and employee of more than 10,000 people. It ranks among the top 17 tires in the world and the top 3 tires in China. Its products are sold in more than 180 countries and regions around the world.
In addition to the proud scale, at present, a number of key evaluation indicators of tire industry, such as total assets, total market value, business income, gross interest rate and net profit, import and export, are in the forefront. Linglong tires are the model of high-quality development in China's independent brand tire enterprises.
Recently, in line with the trend of accelerating the development of internationalization, Linglong Tire has adjusted its previous formulation of & ldquo; 3 + 3 & rdquo; strategy to & ldquo; 5 + 3 & rdquo; planning. On July 6, 2018, the launch ceremony of the project of Linglong Tire Co., Ltd. was held in Jingmen, Hubei Province. Nearly 1,000 partners from more than 180 countries around the world witnessed this great moment. In addition, with the finalization of this year's exquisite Serbian project, & ldquo; 5 + 3 & rdquo; already has the pattern of & ldquo; 4 + 2 & rdquo; the grand blueprint is gradually moving towards reality.
